VLADMIVA and Samara State Medical University have teamed up to train specialists and develop drugs.
Samara State Medical University (SSMU) of the Russian Ministry of Health and the VLADMIVA Experimental Plant have agreed to jointly train dental professionals and develop new medical products and research materials for the industry's development.
The cooperation agreement was signed by Alexander Kolsanov, Rector of SSMU, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, and Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, and Vladimir Chuev, General Director of the VLADMIVA Special Economic Zone, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, and Professor.
The partners noted that the document paves the way for long-term collaboration in science, education, and production.
Today, VLADMIVA is a leading Russian company in the development and production of dental materials. These materials cover all key areas of dentistry: therapy, endodontics, surgery, orthodontics, and orthopedics. VLADMIVA has achieved high results in the import substitution program in each area.
As part of their joint work, SSMU and VLADMIVA are implementing a large-scale roadmap with two focus areas: research and development and technology. This includes joint projects in the development of medical devices and pharmaceuticals for dentistry. The first project is scheduled to launch in September 2025. Samara and Belgorod specialists will work on the creation of an innovative osteoplastic material.
Furthermore, SSMU and VLADMIVA will jointly develop modern educational materials in various formats for higher and continuing education programs. The university will also organize network programs for continuing professional education and training for employees assigned by the plant.
One of the most significant initiatives will be the launch of the "Technological Postgraduate Program" project, which will begin in October 2025. This will train scientific personnel to solve industrial problems.
Another significant part of the educational integration is the creation and opening of a specialized department or laboratory within the VLADMIVA SEZ at SSMU, as well as the regular holding of joint professional competitions and olympiads for students.
Vladimir Chuev noted that combining the plant's industrial potential and long-standing experience with the scientific foundation and expertise of SSMU, one of the country's leading medical universities, will enable the creation of innovative products and the commercialization of breakthrough solutions for the dental industry:
"I was particularly surprised by 100% localization of SSMU production. Independence and autonomy are a tremendous achievement. We expect that the creation of a specialized department and a technological postgraduate program will become a powerful tool for developing the very specialists that modern Russian pharmaceuticals and medicine urgently need. These are people with deep theoretical knowledge and practical experience from the very beginning of their careers."
At the end of the business meeting, the participants emphasized that the signed agreement should ensure technological sovereignty and take import substitution to a new level.
