CALCETATE

PURPOSE
«Calcetate» dental material is used for isolating cavities before introducing cement pads, permanent fillings, and for treating tooth stumps before cementing crowns and bridge prostheses. 
 
FEATURES
Calcetate» dental material is a suspension of white color containing:

• calcium hydroxide; 
• film-adjuster (polistirol, natural resins) and evaporating base;
• flouric calcium (i.e. fluorinating component). 

After application of suspension, tooth hard tissues are covered with dry film containing particles of calcium hydroxide and fluorine components providing film roughness and improving adhesion of the material applied. 
The obtained film adheres tightly to tooth tissues, covering dentine canals and protecting dentine and pulp from detrimental effects of composite materials. This film creates chemical barrier for acids in composites, reducing teeth sensitivity under amalgams and decreasing possibility of secondary caries formation.
